Free and Reduced School Lunch

The Center for Educational Performance and Information (CEPI) collects the count of how many students (K-12) are eligible for free and/or reduced school lunch. Free and reduced lunch eligibility is based on income thresholds based on household size. Non-public school and home-school students are excluded from CEPI's data.

The table D3-School-Lunch houses data on the following columns:

Columns Description
FreeEligible Number of students who records indicate that they are eligible for the free lunch program, are migrant or homeless students, or identified via Direct Certification Process
ReducedEligible Number of students who records indicate that they are eligible for the reduced price lunch program and are not a migrant or homeless student and were not identified via the Direct Certification process.
NotEligible Student records indicate they are not eligible for free or reduced lunch programs.
Total Total number of student counts grade K-12, including ungraded.
FreeReducedEligible The number of students eligible for free OR reduced lunches as measured above
PCT_Free The percent of total students reported eligible for free lunches
PCT_Reduced The percent of total students reported eligible for reduced price lunches
PCT_FreeReduced The percent of total students reported eligible for free OR reduced price lunches.
